A keyboard engineered to fit you...
The ErgoFS is a full-size ergonomic keyboard designed to help you type naturally and AVOID WRIST STRAIN, RSI, & TYPING DISCOMFORT.
Our keyboard keeps your hands typing comfortably by separating them a natural width apart.
Traditional keyboards anchor your wrists together at an unnatural angle. Queue the wrist pain and fatigue...
Our keyboard is built with the perfect amount of support to keep your hands at their natural angle.
Traditional keyboards force your hands to lay in an unnatural flat position while you type. Ouch!
The C989 uses only 100% Kailh® mechanical switches that give a super-satisfying key press and blissful typing experience.
Traditional keyboards use cheap membrane switches that give a dull, non-precise key press and a very 'meh' typing experience.
Use the multi-function smart wheel to command your PC!

A smooth and linear feel with very low audible click makes the RED switch perfect for speedy typing and quieter environments.
A balanced tactile feel and a medium audible click make the BROWN switch our customer’s most popular choice.
A high tactile “bump” feel and substaintial audible “click” makes the BLUE switch perfect for those who want lots of typing feedback.
Love love love this keyboard.... the only reason I didn't mark a full 5 stars is the zero key within the 10 key pad has sharp edges that hurt my thumb..... besides that I'm over the moon in love.
Overall I'm happy with the keyboard, but there are a few quality issues on the keyboard that I received (details below).
I came from using an MS Natural Ergo 4000 for years. The ErgoFS C989 feel so much better. I love that the keys are in the same positions, so that I can reuse years of muscle memory. This is my first mechanical keyboard. I got the brown switches, and they feel great to me. I would have loved to try all three, but I don't have an easy way to do that.
The keyboard I received is slightly different than the one pictured on the website as of 2023-03-19
1. The bank of macro buttons on the left on my keyboard is not M1-M10 on my keyboard as shown in the pictures. Instead, the left column top to bottom is "Select All", "Copy" ,"Paste", "Cut", and "Fn". And the right column is "M1", "M2", "M3", "M4", and a light symbol for changing the backlight. All the keys can still be programmed in software though.
2. My keyboard has a Windows key between the left Ctrl and left Alt, whereas the pictures show a "Fn" key in that position. This is great, because this is a more natural position for the Windows key.
3. My keyboard has a "Fn" key between the right Alt and right Ctrl, whereas the pictures show a Windows key in that position.
4. The smart wheel on my keyboard does not have a triangle on top. It's just a blank black top.
1. The big smart wheel doesn't work on the keyboard that I received. Neither pressing, nor turning. Honestly this is not a big deal for me, because I wouldn't use it that much anyway. I just ignore it.
2. The LED under the right space bar does not work. Not a big deal because I don't really care about the backlighting anyway. All the other lights are fine.
I came from a chicklet style ergonomic keyboard to this, I can type quick, feels comfortable. It does require a lot of desk real estate, so just be aware of that. It makes your right hand have to move very far to get to the mouse.
Learning how to use this little gem of a keyboard it really has all things you were looking for and definitely glad I got the full size with the numpad :D
haven't even gotten started with all the features that are available on this KB!!
I've been looking for a mechanical, ergonomic, backlit, 10-key version of an MS Natural keyboard for years and this is as close as I've come. It's generally pleasant to type and game on, and the ability to separate in the center (like my previous Kinesis keyboard) is a welcome improvement to the old MS Natural design.
That said, there is some room for improvement. I wish it had the 4 extra keys above the numpad that my MS Natural 4000 had. I also wish that the center sections (by the wheel) didn't protrude so far -- when I'm standing at my sit-to-stand desk and pull it closer, it actually pokes into my torso. If these were instead rounded off more, it would be more comfortable. Lastly, I wish the palmrest was padded, and made of a material that didn't show off natural body oils and fingerprints so badly.
As far as the software, it leaves something to be desired. In order to adjust things like the wheel backlight and sidelights, you have to remember what the key combos are, and cannot adjust them in software. Also, the lighting options for these areas leave something to be desired: the wheel backlight is extremely bright, but there is no way to dim it -- it's either on or off. Likewise, I can't find any way to slow down the animation on the sidelights when it's in rainbow mode.
As for store options, I'd love to see an option to order this keyboard with low-profile keycaps. Right now, I'm using some low-profile PBT caps from XVX, but I can't find any low-profile keys for the split spacebar which is somewhat annoying.
The only other improvements I can think of would be an option for swappable switches (like on my ErgoDox EZ), and maybe a rechargeable wireless version.
Overall, I'd strongly recommend this keyboard for anyone who loves the old MS Natural format but wants an upgrade. I've got the Red switches on the gaming rig at home, and the Brown switches on my workstation at the office. Between the two, I like the feel and sound on the Brown switches better, but they are both excellent.
