If you need an ergonomic design and want good key feel, then this is the keyboard for you.

I've been using some form of ergonomic style keyboard for 30 years and it's all I can type on anymore. For about 20 years hide been using the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard, I believe it's called the 4000 model and it works fine but they made some hardware changes that made it to mushy for my liking. In looking for a more tactile keyboard I stumbled upon the Cloudnine products and decided to give one a try. I went for the middle level of tactile feedback and kind of which I went for the more solid mechanical key feel. I now have three of these keyboards and absolutely love them. The size of the keywords are perfect for me, a larger person with big hands. Mechanical feel and keep placement is perfect. Now I just need to get the full tactile, I believe they are the white keys model for my primary keyboard.

What I hoped for!

Great keyboard! Good build quality. Comfortable to use. Erganomic without sacrificing important components of the standard layout like numpad and F keys. It was difficult to find an ergonomic, mechanical full keyboard and I feel the price is fair for the quality and value.

My only feedback so far is that the longer connecter cord should be standard. The short one is really very short.

Not great, would not recommend

This is an overpriced keyboard. I wouldn't recommend unless you have arm or hand pain of some type AND you have a PC AND you want to pluck around with the set up nonsense. Due to my experience I most likely would suggest an alternative product.

I bought the keyboard because I was experiencing wrist pain due to the angle of my flat keyboard. I had purchased an ergonomic mouse which was really comfortable but was still having some wrist and arm pain. I have a mac desktop and the flat keyboard wasn't the most comfortable and was looking for a solution. I hadn't heard of the cloudnine product before and went out on a limb to try something new. I also work in IT and wanted to be proactive about any potential hand issues. I purchased this keyboard on amazon. The design of the cloudnine keyboard did alleviate my wrist pain which is great but the keyboard is not fully usable if you have a mac set up due to programming limitations which totally sucks. On the site they have a statement where it says it 'works for macs' but that's a misleading statement. Turns out no standard programmable keyboard shortcuts like copy and paste work unless you program the keyboard. Even the dedicated copy and paste buttons do not work. Like what. So long story short, Cloudnine does not have a program to set up keyboard shortcut settings on mac. They should make this very clear on their site, but as of 8/20/24 it's not. Had I known, I would have never purchased.

One other thing - cloudnine has different keyboards and they each sound different. I ended up getting one that was way too loud and not great to listen to while I type. I would recommend they be more clear in the sound options and make it easier for folks to choose between them. Not a fan of spending my money on a company that doesn't tell the full truth about their product. That's definitely a sign, and not a good one.

Uses proprietary linking cable

The linking cable that connects both halves of the keyboard(kb) is a proprietary pinout with USB-C terminals. This was done either intentionally, to gain extra profit from forcing end user's to have to come back to them for the cable. Or it was a mistake in the board design that was discovered after the units had already been made and the cheapest option being to change the cable pinouts to match the mistake (shifting the cost to the user instead of fixing it). In either case, this very expensive kb becomes entirely useless without the linking cable. The cable provided with the kb is very short, so if, say, half of the kb got knocked off the desk, the cable will be ripped out of the socket potentially damaging the terminals. The risk is quite high and at ~$25 a pop + shipping, you will have to hope that the cable still works until the replacement arrives or use a spare kb in the interim.

The above is why I highly recommend you do not purchase this product. However, if cost/time is of no concern to you then the kb is fine. Wouldn't call this the best kb in the world, but I've certainly had worse.

Exactly what I wanted

Great, responsive. My hands and wrists already feel better. If I were to make a complaint, it is that the button for changing the backlight color patterns is too close to the CTRL key so it can be hit when playing a game rather easily.
